EMMA COMPILATION 2LP 1986
( Hardcore punk jazz and more / Netherlands )

Emma is an independent concert hall where, since November 25, 1984 (the date it was squatted) a large group of people have been working hard to give more meaning to one of the main ideas of the punk/squatter movement, the idea of self-support/self-management. Besides a large and a small concert hall (capacity 600 and 200 persons respectively) there is also a café-restaurant, rehearsal rooms for 15 bands, and two recording studios -- one of which is the Koeienverhuurbedrujf (Cow Rental Company).
